We recently went on a romantic escape and stayed at a cozy little hotel in the heart of a historic town. the key location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from all the attractions and surrounded by charming cobblestone streets. We loved being able to walk to the main square within minutes. the room was beautifully decorated and had a comfortable bed that made our stay even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
There were a few things that left us less than satisfied during our stay. the bathroom was quite small and cramped, making it a bit challenging to navigate.

I recently stayed at Hostal Latina for 3 days and had a wonderful experience. The location of the hostel is perfect, right next to the main square with the cathedral. The old building adds to the charming atmosphere. The room I stayed in was spacious and quiet, and I was provided with towels and soap. The owner was very friendly and gave me great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. the hostel felt more like a cozy bed and breakfast, which I really enjoyed.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The morning meal could have been better with more variety and options.

We had a wonderful stay at Hostal Latina for 5 nights. This traditional Ecuadorian house, with its 30-year history, is just a 3-minute walk from the central area. Despite the staff's limited English, they were incredibly helpful. Plus, we enjoyed amazing local cuisine at Guajibamba, a famous Cuy restaurant just a block away. The hot shower had excellent water pressure, and our room was super spacious. great location, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere made our stay unforgettable.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

I stayed at Hostal Latina for a week during my trip to explore the national park. The owner went above and beyond, organizing a fantastic outing for all of us. Jorge, the manager, was incredibly kind and helpful. Despite a dislocated shoulder, he arranged for a physiotherapist and even accompanied me in a taxi to ensure I found the location. The staff was friendly and cheerful, with Kathy providing excellent English assistance. The room was spacious with good natural light, and the shower had hot water. The location was perfect, within walking distance of everything.
Totally recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is in the heart of the city and walking distance to all the sights. the building itself is charming and unique, adding to the overall experience. the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is courteous and helpful. the wifi provided is of excellent quality, allowing for easy communication and connectivity during the stay.
One negative aspect is the lack of security, as the front door is open during the day, allowing anyone to walk in.

I got great value for my money at Hostal Latina. The room was spacious and had a charming old town vibe. The location was perfect, just a couple of blocks from the main square and close to markets and cafes. The staff was excellent, especially Jorge who was very accommodating and friendly.
The breakfast menu could use some improvement, maybe offering more variety or healthier options.
